What is an IPL or BBL?
IPL is a non-invasive laser treatment that can treat a wide variety of skin imperfections caused by natural aging, sun exposure, genetics, and lifestyle habits. This results in a gradual, natural-looking revitalization of the skin’s appearance, leading to firmer, more even-toned skin with little to no downtime.
At Rivera Plastic Surgery, you can choose between different IPL treatments: BBL HEROic, BBL Laser, and Photofacial, and more. BBL and HEROic, are special IPL treatments only offered by Sciton, which is the Rolls-Royce brand of the laser devices, and only available at the very best practices.
BBL Laser – For Pigmentation and Red spots – Vessels
This approach involves a device that delivers light directly into the deepest layers of the skin, providing heat and energy to address a variety of skin concerns, such as pigmentation and broken blood vessels, and to smooth the skin. This treatment has customizable settings to adjust the laser wavelength, allowing Dr. Rivera to address various concerns at different depths. When the laser connects with your skin, it promotes elastin and collagen, resulting in firmer skin and a breakdown of excess pigment.
BBL HEROic
BBL HEROic (High Energy Rapid Output) is a more advanced technology that combines traditional BBL with greater power and faster speed. This technology also offers improved cooling power, leading to quicker recovery and greater versatility in treatable areas. BBL HEROic can also treat fine lines and wrinkles as it improves your skin’s elasticity.
IPL Photofacial
An IPL photofacial excels in creating an energized, vibrant appearance for your skin. The IPL device emits a series of light pulses that target cells responsible for pigmentation, sunspots, or other blemishes. The light penetrates the epidermis and removes vascular or pigmented lesions. It can be used on various areas of your body, including your hands, chest, neck, and shoulders, in addition to your face.
IPL photofacials can treat a wide range of concerns, including facial redness, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, stretch marks, sun spots, and several more.
