A brow lift, also known as forehead lift or foreheadplasty, is a procedure designed to elevate the eyebrows and reduce forehead excess skin and wrinkles. It reverses to a degree the effects of gravity, and depending on the technique used, it may tighten the soft tissues of the forehead. It raises sagging eyebrows that may be hooding the upper eyelids and places the brows or the brow tails in a more alert and youthful position. Overall, it restores a more youthful contour to your forehead skin and eyebrows. There are several brow-lift methods that involve different incision locations and lengths, including endoscopic (small access/scars) approaches.
> What is the Ideal brow and/or forehead?
The ideal aesthetic of a youthful brow in females includes a position at rest above the upper orbital rim (bony ledge behind the brow area), with a very gradual arch laterally. In males, the ideal position is at the orbital rim. The ‘tail’ or lateral end should be higher than the medial one. In some cases, the muscles that make you frown can be partially removed to permanently smooth the lower central forehead (this is called corrugator muscle resection), which will decrease the need to use neurotoxins (Botulinum toxin) if the patient desires. A personal consultation will determine what is best for you.
> What is the Ideal or most asthetic eyebrow and/or forehead?

You have low hanging eyebrows at or below the orbital rim. Your eyebrow position creates a tired, sad, or grumpy appearance. You have frown lines, deep wrinkles, or furrows across and above the upper part of your nose and in between the eyebrows. You look tired and angry despite feeling otherwise due to the aforementioned creases. A forehead or brow lift may be right for you if you are bothered by these aging signs in the brow and forehead region.

-You do not have time to recover. In general, for facial surgery, we recommend three months between surgery and a special or social (red carpet) event as a safety net. However, most people look presentable in normal social situation in three weeks, and oftentimes earlier. For body procedures, recovery can be from a few days (e.g. liposuction) to two to three weeks (tummy tuck or BBL). For most procedures, heavy activity such as exercise should be avoided for 3 weeks.
Complications are not common; however, they do occasionally happen, and delayed healing cannot be 100% avoided. This timeline is necessary in order to allow most of the swelling to go away and the results and tissues to appear natural, especially if the surgery is in a visible area.
-You want a perfect result because you will only be satisfied with perfection, and you know you will not be happy otherwise.
-You want perfect symmetry.
-You are taking blood thinners for medical conditions or immunosuppressants.
-You are a current smoker, or a current passive smoker (live with a partner that smokes next you)
-You are overweight or obese. Typically, we recommend not having surgery if your Body Mass Index is above 32-34, with the exception of some liposuction procedures (Link to: Liposuction for people with high BMI’s (obesity)). Use this link to calculate your BMI.
-You are doing it for someone else or fitting an ideal image. Plastic surgery is a personal decision, and you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else’s desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image.
