The first step in getting a breast implant revision in Miami is to schedule a consultation with double board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Carlos Rivera-Serrano. During this initial appointment, Dr. Rivera-Serrano will try to learn more about your medical history, your initial implant journey, your current aesthetic and/or functional goals for the surgery, and your expectations. He will then carry out a clinical exam of your breast area and check the condition of your implants, deciding which technique to use for incision and removal. As he examines you, Dr. Rivera-Serrano will outline the procedure in detail with its associated risks and benefits so that you can manage your expectations should you choose to proceed with it. He may also perform an ultrasound examination using the Clarius HD3 scanner, which is available in his office, to check the status of the implants and assess possible ruptures or leakages.
If you agree to proceed with the procedure, Dr. Rivera-Serrano will design your surgical plan. You can then take this to one of our patient coordinators to schedule your treatment, learn more about pricing options, and receive any pre-operative instructions.
